Morbius movie synopsis

"Morbius" is a 2022 American superhero horror film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. The movie follows Dr. Michael Morbius (Jared Leto), a brilliant but terminally ill scientist suffering from a rare blood disease, who is determined to find a cure.

In his quest for a cure, Morbius experiments with vampire bat DNA and electroshock therapy, which surprisingly leads to a miraculous recovery. However, he soon discovers that his newfound abilities come with a dangerous side effect: an insatiable thirst for blood.

As Morbius struggles to control his bloodlust and cope with his new powers, he becomes the target of a team of FBI agents led by Agent Stroud (Tyrese Gibson), who believes that Morbius is a threat to national security.
Meanwhile, Morbius is also hunted by a shadowy figure, who turns out to be his old friend and fellow scientist, Emil Nikos (Matt Smith), who has undergone a similar transformation and is now a deadly, vampiric monster.

As the two former friends face off, Morbius realizes that he must find a way to stop his own transformation and defeat Nikos before it's too late. Along the way, Morbius also encounters the superhero known as Spider-Man (Tom Holland), leading to an epic battle between two iconic Marvel characters.
